QuestionIs there a way to start new lillies from the bulbs of another lilly?
AnswerHi Rhonda,
Thanx for your question. Daylilies don't have bulbs, they have rhizomes and yes, you can start new daylilies by separating the rhizomes. You may separate daylilies about every 3 years. Usually, it is fairly easy to see how to divide. If not, separate rhizomes by trying to pull pieces from the main clump. What I look for is a good root system and a bit of green growth at the top. I hope this helps.
