I don't know am I asking the right person or not but how do you know if a plant is self pollinating or not? URGENT

What kind of plant do you have?  Many tomatoes, peppers, etc. can pollinate themselves.  Your posting indicats urgent.  What's that all about?  You didn't give very many details.  It is difficult for me to answer your question.  Please post a followup.
