QuestionI am letting my coleus plants "bloom" so that I may obtain seeds to re-propagate next spring. I don't have room for cuttings indoors. How do I harvest these seeds? I know I can probably just buy another packet but would be grateful for any information you have on doing this on my own.
AnswerHi Niki Sue,
Thanx for your question. After the coleus has bloomed, allow the spike to turn brown. Cut it off and put it in white paper towel and take it indoors to allow it to completely dry for a couple about a week. Then you shake it gently and the small seeds (about the size of ground pepper) will begin falling out onto the white napkin. I hope this helps.
