Bacopa [sutera cordata]

Question
Hi, I live in UK and have found this pretty plant readily available in garden centres in white, lilac, and variegated leaf varieties. I haven't been able to trace any information about growing from seed, or any seed supplier. My plants, though flowering prolifically, do not seem to be setting any seed, unless it is simply that seed is v. v. small. I regularly collect lobelia seeds [hanging basket varieties eg 'crystal palace'] which are very tiny, but cannot see any bacopa seeds.
Any information, please?

Answer
Hi Liz,
Thanx for your question.  Great to hear from the UK!  The bacopa should set obvious seed pods.  Sometimes one can run into plants that are sterile but perhaps this plant is not totally mature and may not be sexually active yet.  Bacopa have obvious seed pods.  Be patient.  This is a tropical plant and it may not set seed until later in the fall.  You can do a search on Google.com for more information on Bacopa.  I hope this helps.
Tom
