QuestionI'm doing a science project and I was wondering which plant would be the best to grow for my project.
My topic is: What Is The Effect Of Different Vitamins(Vitamin A, C, D, E,) On Plant Growth?
Thanks
AnswerChristina,
I'm sorry. I'm not a scientist. I know a lot about basic botany and gardening but your question requires a response from a degreed botannical or biological scientist. What I can tell you is that it is not so much vitamins that have an effect on plant growth as it is minerals. The basic fertilizer elements are known as NPK, nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium (k). Flowering plants require more phosphorus than they need nitrogen, grass needs more nitrogen than the other two. Fruit trees need more potassium and phosphorus than nitrogen. When the plants take in the NPK they create various vitamins so as you can see it is not so much vitamins that influence a plant's growth as it is the basic earth elements. I hope this helps.
