Question
How do I get the sprinkler hooked into a motion detector.  I do not have an automatic sprinkler system.  I have looked at Lowe's and found sprinklers that would work for my flower and vegetable beds, but I can't figure out how to get a motion detector tied into it.   Help!   Even my ancestry Lilac is pitiful.

Hi, Contech makes a sprinkler with a built-in motion detector you attach to a hose.  I've seen them for around $40.  Easy to hook up and move when necessary.   You could attach a motion detector between your power supply and your sprinkler system but you would have to disable it anytime you wish to run the system and you are limited to a smaller coverage area. That's a pain.  Jim
