QuestionWe have moved to southern Arizona from Tennessee. Our water tested with a pH of 8.2. I tried some vegetables but they would start out good and then just stop and die. What can I add to the soil to neutralize the high ph of the water?
AnswerHi, The soil pH is easily adjusted but this doesn't change the pH of the water going on the plants. You should consider a filter/softener for your water and consider catching all the rainwater you can. Check with your local water company. They may offer a low cost fix. If not, then see you nearest hardware store. Jim
