QuestionI have heard that spreading lime on your lawn will assist in growth as well as color. If so, when is the best time to do this and should I ariate first?
AnswerHi Paulie, It's important to keep the pH around 6.5 for good turf production. Too low or too high makes many nutrients and micronutrients unavailable. It doesn't matter when, it's just important that you check it and apply lime if needed. Don't lime if your pH is correct. Aeration is not necessary for the lime, it may well help your grass, but you could lime before or after. Jim
