QuestionWe just recently planted 16 live oak trees about 10-15 feet tall girth is about 3-4 inches. I have noticed in the past week that one of the trees in particular has lost 80-90% of its leaves and there is a brown discoloration and a curling of the leaves. I have pictures I can send this evening if needed but the tree seems like it has just taken a turn for the worse this past week and a half.
Any suggestions.
P.S. Trees have been in the ground for about 6wks and getting 20-30min of watered every other day.
AnswerHi Denis, It's possible the rootball was damaged in planting or it could be a water issue. Too much or too little gives the same results and symptoms. I'd have the nurseryman you bought them from come and take a look at it. I'd start applying a root stimulator with you waterings. Jim
