QuestionHi,
We live in TX. We bought a house which was built in 1997.
After we moved in i noticed in one day that soil around house was eroded due to heavy rains last year and we don't have any gutters either so we them installed last year. Two days back i noticed some cracks on the ground around the house showing the basement outside. we keep running the sprinklers regularly even then i don't see any difference.
I'm planning to fill some soil around the house and plant some small shrubs/bushes around the house. I'm not sure if its going to help or not to keep it moisture around the house. If so can you suggest the best way of doing this and what kind of soil i have to use.
Thanks in advance
sree
AnswerHi Sree, Use the same type soil that is in the bed, not bagged soil.
If it's clay, use clay. Continue to water to keep the soil moist around you foundation. You should be able to find your local soil at a bulk mulch and soil dealer in your area. Jim
