QuestionWe believe our grass is full of pests (for sure we know it is full of spiders, as we woke up in one fogged fall morning and saw the lawn covered by spider webs). Also, our two little dogs itch constantly, and we know it is not fleas or food allergy, so we would like to know what would be the best to apply to the grass in order to protect our friends from environmental allergies?
AnswerHi Liz, You'll need to see your vet about treatment for outdoor allergies to grass and the like. The insects can be easily controlled with Permethrin (some labels have directions for use on dogs), or if you want an organic, use pyrethrum. Both work quickly, Permethrin lasts a little longer. Keep the dogs off until it's dry. Jim
