Seeding after grub damage

Question
I live in Nazareth PA.  My lawn was destroyed by grubs last summer.  My question is what step should I be taking to re-seed my lawn and eradicate the grub problem going forward. I would prefer to re-seed some time during the spring when the ground is moist.  I have about 3/4 of an arce of damage.  I also have a well so I'm concerned about putting danagerous chemicals down on the lawn. Please advise. Thanks

Answer
Hi Tom, I'd be comfortable applying imidicloprid in late April to early May for season long grub control.  It has low toxicity to mammals and controls the grubs for a year. Check with your local nurseryman about products and rates.  I'd go ahead and seed as soon as the weather permits.  Jim
