QuestionHi Mr. Crowder,
Do you know anything about a fertilizer called NATURIZE I liked it. I first used it around 2004. I bought it from a Wal-Mart in Palatka Florida when they were having a type of promotional thing going on. I didn抰 know much about it I just bought a bag of it to try on my container grown plants. I was pretty impressed with the results. The other day the topic came up on one of my favorite forums and I brought up this product that I had tried and liked. As usual the forum expert had a negative remark about it even though he said he hadn抰 tried it. After I moved I could no longer find this product any ware locally also there website seems to have disappeared. Just wondering if you have any thoughts on this product or why they seem to have disappeared? I do know that you can still order it on line from other retailers but not directly from them. Thanks for any information.
AnswerHi Jo Ann, Naturize is made in Jacksonville, FL and I had not heard of the product before now. I did find a press release about it and it sounds like an excellent product. The company has combined a fertilizer with the micro-organisms needed to break down the nutrients which makes it more rapidly available to the plant. Many nursery stock growers are adding microbes to their soil mixes. Plants grow faster and can be retail ready sooner. I sell microbes and products to feed the microbes which makes for a healthier soil.
Why can't you find it? It's all about numbers with the box stores. If it doesn't turn quickly, it's gone. Try a local independent garden center. You are much more likely to find it there, or find a similar product and you'll find people who know what they're talking about. Jim
