Questionhi there.
i have a yucca..and love it..however over the past month or so i have noticed that the leaves are beginning to curl.
there is no discolour amongst the leaves, they are all looking lovely and green...but as i said, the leaves are starting to curl, i suspect my housemate is watering it regularly, so am wondering if over watering would be causing my leaves to curl?.
thanks for any help you can provide me with.
melissa.
AnswerHi Melissa, I suspect you are correct. Curling leaves usually indicates a water inconsistency. Yuccas should be watered thoroughly and then allowed to become moderately dry. If the soil feels moist, don't water it. If you're not sure, wait a day or two. Under-watering is better than over-watering. You can't just water once a week, year in and year out. As the seasons change, the water demands vary, so there is no substitution for checking the soil. Jim
