Question
Mr. Clark, what would be the best mulch to use on my vegetable garden to control weeds and make the clay soil more workable since I will be tilling it into the soil at the end of the season. Thank You

Hi Al
try some straw, that will still allow the sun and moisture to help your production. Normally i do not recomend a mulch for vegtable gardens, simply because i like the soil to warm quickly and incubate the plants which increases productivity, a mulch keeps the soil cool which hinders fruit set.  Good Luck  Larry  ;-)
